The State of the PMO 2025 report is designed to help us understand current practices and trends that will lead to improved PMO strategic impact and business success. By sharing their experiences, survey respondents help their organizations benchmark their PMOs against others and build a business case for strengthening the PMO. We asked organizations about the size, scope, and complexity of their PMOs; the types of activities they engage in; the staffing of their PMOs; and the types of training they receive. We asked them whether they use project management offices as a service and whether they use artificial intelligence in their operations. We also asked them to rate their overall PMO performance and identify which activities are top priorities for the next 24 months.
